Join us for a kokedama workshop, inspired by our sound and plant installation, The People’s Weather Report.
Kokedama is a style of Japanese bonsai made by enclosing a plant’s root mass in moss (refer to image above!). The kokedamas made in the workshops will be displayed around North Melbourne Town Hall during Going Nowhere, then the following week, each participant gets to take their creation home with them!
No experience is necessary, there will be friendly volunteers on hand to assist you in creating these beautiful pieces of artwork.
Volunteers Zoe Aimee-May Atterbury, Luz Cheng, Vivian Cooper, Nina Fitzgerald, Emma Frank, Bronwyn Geddes, Sandeep Henry, Isobel Hutton, Rosemary Johnston, Karisa Le-Paez, Han Li, Anita Ravichandran, Jayme Thompson, Jennifer Tran, Susan Wilfred, Laura Williams, Lily Wu
Note: space is strictly limited, based on a first-come first-served basis, or until materials run out.
